Libraries face unprecedented challenges and opportunities in the rapidly changing information landscape; the impact extends beyond the patron-provider dynamic. This paper explores strategic approaches to library marketing and enhancing professional skills to navigate these shifts effectively. It considers current trends, technological innovations, and user expectations. Using a comprehensive
qualitative approach, the study gathers diverse perspectives from a range of documentary sources. These include analysing scholarly publications on marketing, strategy, and library and information science to understand theoretical frameworks and research findings. The study also examines social media pages, blog posts, and official websites of some university libraries in the US and Europe that have achieved notable success. It identifies key strategies for promoting library services and resources, highlighting the essential skills and knowledge that library professionals need to stay relevant and practical. Through an in-depth review of literature and case studies, this paper offers actionable insights and recommendations to help libraries adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment.
